From Scholarship Recipient to Military Liaison

This past weekend, I attended the Speak Up Conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The conference is geared toward Christian communicators from across the country, focusing on speaking, writing, and podcasting. This was my third year attending, and I had the privilege of serving as this year's Military Liaison. Each year, Speak Up sponsors military spouses with scholarships to attend the event, and I've been a grateful recipient of that generosity for several years — support that has helped me grow as a military spouse in communication and ministry for the Kingdom.

Carol Kent is the founder of the Speak Up Conference. She's a best-selling author and international speaker, and though her résumé is impressive, Carol carries herself with humility and grace, always pointing back to God and pouring into other speakers and writers.
